Cultivate positivity. Having a bright outlook equips you with the tools needed to fight back negative thoughts and have fewer draining emotions overall. This quality of having resilience is a sign of good emotional health that helps you in bouncing back from challenging times faster, without dwelling too much. Here is how you can hold on to positive emotions and appreciate the goodness that life offers you: 

  • Positive self-talk and giving yourself credit for the good things you do every day. 
  • Accept that everyone makes mistakes and learn to forgive yourself for the mistakes you’ve made.
  • Write down what you’re thankful for and be grateful daily. 

Lower stress. Stress is a normal emotion that creeps up in everyone’s life. But how you handle it and deal with it, makes all the difference. Long-term stress can lead to chronic stress that can leave you feeling exhausted. Here are a few ways you can cope with stress

  • Get enough rest and don’t compromise on your sleep. CBD might be able to help you with lowering stress and inducing sleep.

  • Notice your surroundings, take a stroll in nature, and focus on the sights and sounds of nature. 
  • Listen to your body. Cultivate mindful eating by paying attention to when your body feels hungry and scan your body from head to toe and be aware of how each part feels. 

Mourn loss. When you lose something in life, whether it’s the end of an experience or the death of a loved one, grief can be overwhelming. Remember, there is no right or wrong way when it comes to dealing with loss. And it is completely okay to make it through the grieving process with the support of friends and family. 

  • Look after yourself. Ear right, sleep on time, talk a walk and avoid indulging in bad eating habits. 
  • Talk to someone. Be it friends, family, or a support group, let others know when you want to talk.
  • Take a minute, pause, and don’t make major life changes right away. While you may have a sudden urge to quit your job, or move your city, remember to take your time. 

Understand social connections. Did you know that having healthy social connections can help protect health and lengthen your life? Healthy connections have been linked to having powerful effects on emotional wellness and health such as family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, or others. 

  • Build a strong relationship with your family. 
  • Pick a hobby and join a focused group for it. This may include hiking, reading, painting, yoga, etc.
  • Travel when you can and take the opportunity to meet new people.
